## Original Texas Land Survey in Ward County

Ward County is one of 254 Texas counties on Township America. The OTLS grid partitions each county into Abstracts; many were originally surveyed by 19th-century railroad companies (T&P, H&TC, GC&SF) or Spanish/Mexican-era surveyors as leagues and labors. Each abstract is identified by a number, and where applicable a block and section within a named survey.

Township America fetches the polygon and centroid from the RRC OTLS dataset and joins the result against state O&G layers with the Texas data pack.
